Science Night is Oct. 3rd

College of the Redwoods will hold its 34th annual Science Night Friday, October 3rd, 2025, 5 pm – 8 pm. This event is an exploration of all the fascinating ways science, math, and technology shape our world. Faculty and staff alike will be showcasing demonstrations, experiments, and hands-on activities for kids of all ages and accompanying adults. This is an indoor and outdoor event. 

Activities include but are not limited to: Potato Canon Robot; Fire Fighting Hydraulics and Behavior; Fin-Tastic Prints: Exploring Fish Through Gyotaku Art; Chemistry Magic Show; Making Inside-Out Ice Cream; and Ride the Virtual Reality Roller Coaster.

Free parking and admission. The CR Café & Food Lab will be open and serving meals with kid-friendly options available.

Volunteer Details:

NEW: Volunteers must attend one mandatory 30-minute orientation meeting (hybrid).
Two sessions are available, you can choose the one that works best for you:
Option 1: Friday, September 26th, 9:00 - 9:30 AM
Option 2: Friday, September 26th, 4:00 - 4:30 PM
Each orientation will cover volunteer roles, event logistics, and provide time for questions.
Volunteer roles include event setup, greeting guests at welcome tables, and supporting activity stations.
